The Easiest Slideshows Ever!

Don’t have time to make a photo album but you want an easy and fun way to view your photos? Make the easiest slideshow ever on your computer or laptop with software that you already have!

In iPhoto on a Mac, simply create an album and put all the photos you want to view into the album. Make sure to select all the photos in your album and then click on the Slideshow button at the bottom of the screen. Before your slideshow starts, you will be given an options window where you can choose a theme and music for your show and adjust other settings that affect how the photos appear in the show. Hit play to see your slideshow. The slideshow will automatically repeat.

If you are using Photos on a Mac, again simply create an album and put all the photos you want to view into the album. Hit the play button at the top of the screen to select your options for a theme and music for your show. Click Play Slideshow to view your show full screen. The slideshow will automatically repeat.

You can also use Photos on an iPad, which is a nice way to make the slideshow portable. In Photos on the iPad, create an album and put the photos you want in your show into the album. Next, view the album and tap the Slideshow button at the top of the screen. Once your slideshow starts playing, tap anywhere on the screen to see the Options button at the lower right. In the options window you can choose the theme, music and whether you want the show to repeat or not.

If you are on a Mac but don’t use iPhoto or Photos, simply put all your edited photos in a single folder or directory, and use the Preview software that should already be on your Mac. Just highlight/select-all the photos you want to view in your slideshow and double-click one of them, or select File->Open to open them all in Preview, the Mac photo viewing software. Once the photos are open in Preview, select View->Slideshow to view a full-screen slideshow of the photos. In Preview there are no options for different photo transitions or integrated music.

On a PC, put your slideshow photos into a folder, open the folder and double click on the first photo in the folder. It should open up in the resident photo viewing software on your computer (probably "Windows Viewer" or "Windows Live"). Click on the "slide show" button at the top of the screen to start a full-screen slideshow. The slideshow will automatically repeat. To exit the slideshow, hit the "esc" key on your keyboard.

If you use Windows Photos software on your PC, create an album of the photos you want to view in your slideshow. Open the album and click on the Play button below the title of the album. There is no option for music or transitions but the show will repeat automatically.
